In 2005, I got the unique opportunity to write for a classical ensemble that was essentially a rock band.  Going back to my roots, and at the same time using my knowledge of classical music, I wrote an intensely virtuosic, almost prog-rock piece for the NY based ensemble Fireworks.  Part Orlando di Lasso, part Rush, part Steve Reich, part Dream Theater, it’s the first piece of many rock/classical pieces I hope to write in the future.
